Child Protection Group (CPG) is a group voluntary formed by the member of different NGOs working for the rights of children living or found at the railway stations. The main aim to constitute this group was to work in coordination and cooperation with each other to ensure the rights of children. A monthly meeting is held between these NGOs to discuss the challenges and work done so far hence keeping a transparency and accountability in the functions.
The need for better documentation and introduction of new approaches toward work was discussed in detail. CPG is planning to launch a night outreach activity, in which members will extend its outreach during night hours at railway stations. CPG is looking forward to provide maximum benefit to children and saving children from abuses at railway station. The children found at railway stations will be provided shelter and protection under government programme and scheme.
