Coordination among different agencies working to end human trafficking, effective crack down on traffickers and rehabilitation of victims are the major steps hold key to prevent the organised crime, said Shakti Vahini
President Ravi Kant while addressing the participants at a workshop on anti-human trafficking concluded on Wednesday.
He suggested a hard hitting at destination to source of human trafficking. He also apprised the cops of different precautions required to be taken during raids and rescue operations.
He said that the human trafficking gangs were changing their modus operandi. So, the cops and agencies working to end the human trafficking should equip themselves with different methods.
He said that the government was taking keen interest to online casinos prevent the trafficking. Working in this direction, the government is strengthening women and child development department and health department by providing fund.
It was also making State Child Protection Scheme and Child Welfare Committee stronger.
He said that there should be coordination between recognised NGOs and other agencies during raid and rescue operations. With the help of these organisations, punishment could be awarded to accused of human trafficking. He also suggested seeking support of NGOs and committees in rehabilitation of the victims. He also discussed plethora of laws available to punish the traffickers.
Director General of police (DGP) Satyavrat attended concluding ceremony as chief guest. He said that the workshop would have certainly added to the knowledge of the participants.
He expressed hope that the participants would utilize the knowledge for preventing human trafficking. He said that they would share knowledge with their counterparts in the districts.
