SIX MINOR RESCUED FROM G.B.ROAD
On 28-05-2012, total six females (who appeared to be minors) aged between 15-18 years rescued from GB Road, with the help of NGO Shakti Vahini and Rescue Foundation by the police of P.S. Kamla Market, Central District, Delhi.
INCIDENT AND TEAM
On 28.05.12, PS Kamla Market received some specific inputs that few girls who want to be rescued from GB Road are confined at Kotha Nos. 5211 & 40, GB Road. The information was further developed and it was revealed that there are minor girls in Kotha No-5211 & 40, GB Road who have been forced into prostitution and if the raid is conducted, many more such minor girls could be rescued.
On this, a team comprising of Inpsr. Parmod Joshi, SHO/Kamla Market, SI Ajay, SI Sushil Kumar, HC Baljeet, Ct. Ravi Mann and W/Ct. Poonam was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. Ram Kumar, ACP/Kamla Market. The representatives of NGO ‘Shakti Vahini’ & ‘Rescue Foundation’ were also associated.
Thereafter, on late evening of 28.05.2012, raid was conducted and six minor girls namely Nutan (name changed), Asha (named changed), Noorjaha (name changed), Sonia (name changed), Neelam (name changed) and Neetu (name changed) aged about 15-18 years, out of which three are residents of Nepal, one from Maharastra, one from West Bengal and one from Karnataka were rescued by the police of PS Kamla Market, Central District, Delhi. A case vide DD No. 32 A u/s 32 JJ Act has been registered at P.S. Kamla Market, Delhi so far. Further investigation/interrogation is in progress.
INVESTIGATION
During investigation, it was revealed that they all belong to poor families and they were lured on the pretext of providing them good employment in Delhi. They are being produced before CWC, Delhi for taking further course of legal action.
