A minor girl of West Bengal who was allegedly forced into sexual exploitation was rescued by a team of West Bengal police officials and the members of the non-governmental organisation (NGO), Shakti Vahini, from Morni village here Wenesday evening. However the members of the NGO alleged that they were not provided with the facility of a child protection home and the girl was kept for nearly four hours at the Chandimandir police station.
The 15-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped by Ismail Haq of West Bengal. Haq, who has been arrested had been exploiting the girl sexually and she was kept at a rented accommodation in Morni for the last month.
SHO of Chandimandir police station, Satish Kumar, said, “We provided the necessary women police force and vehicle to help the West Bengal police to rescue the girl.”
